From Baalbek to Canterbury

When our family opened Baalbek Bakery in 1977, they brought to Australia all their skill, which mixed together with the finest available wheat, crafted Lebanese Bread that has enriched Sydney’s food culture. Since taking over the Canterbury store in 2007, we have sought to preserve the precious gift of Lebanese bread making while modernising our processes so that our love for it could be shared with a whole new generation.

The symbol of Baalbek you see at the front of our packaging reminds us of our heritage, but our name change to Canterbury Lebanese Bread acknowledges the warm embrace we have received from the community over so many years. What remains unchanged is our commitment to producing this wonderful ancient bread, at its finest, now and for decades to come.
